Janitorial / Handyperson / Maintenance, Part-time, Graveyard Job Title: Janitorial / Handyperson / Maintenance Employer: SP+ Location: PDX Airport main exit plaza and parking garages Starting Wage: $10.10 per hour Union: Yes Drug Screen Includes Marijuana: Yes Driving Required: Yes Hours per week: About 30 Shifts: Swing Shift - Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11:00pm to 7:00am Summary: Ensure the cleanliness of parking facilities, assist in maintaining equipment, direct traffic and provide helpful and professional customer service in the form of jump starts and vehicle locating. A driver license with a clean driving record is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Perform jump starts, tire inflations, and assist customers in finding vehicles as needed following proper safety requirements in a professional manor. Stand and/or walk for extended periods while picking up trash or traffic directing. Drive a vehicle safely while counting vehicles or parking spaces. Maneuver between parked vehicles while picking up trash without touching or damaging vehicles. Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the reporting supervisor. Successfully walk up and down a minimum of six flights of stairs picking up trash. Work a complete 8 hour shift with one 30 minute lunch break and two 15 minute breaks. Work independently, completing all assigned tasks. Communicate with other employees and reporting supervisor over a hand held radio professionally with clarity and conciseness. Must be at least (18) years of age. Driving Required: Must possess a valid driver license and have a good driving record. Driving SP+ vehicles will be required. Background Check/Driving/Drug Screen: Applicants must be able to pass a background check, including criminal history and driving records, and pass a drug screen. Please note our drug screen includes marijuana, which can stay in the system for 30+ days. Language Ability: Applicant must be able to communicate clearly, effectively and positively with all customers, employees and superiors in English. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, and count vehicles parked in parking lots. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions. Be able to effectively respond to customer problems or complaints. Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to work with hand tools to fix gate arms and other assigned duties. Employee is required to be able to sit extended amounts of times. Must be able to lift minimum of 50 lbs. and able to work outside in adverse weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Wage: This position starts at $9.60 per hour.
