Job Description Job Title: Landfill Maintenance Worker I Department: Public Works Supervisor: Assigned Prepared By: Arlee Schneider Summary Maintains and repairs property of municipality by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from Supervisor Cuts grass and trims weeds on Landfill property. Cleans buildings, washes windows, and empties trash cans. Drives truck and loads fallen tree limbs and roadside trash onto truck. Operates snow removal equipment to maintain City property. Maintains and repairs parts of buildings. May assist in replacing worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment such as truck, and riding mower. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have a valid Montana Driver's license and be insurable by the City's insurance carrier.
