In consultation with industry, and because this standard has not been used since before
2002, it was decided that this standard should be designated expiring (category D).
Main changes resulting from the review
Standard 20189 was designated category D due to minimal uptake. Industry confirmed
there was no longer a need for the skills and knowledge delivered through this standard.
Unit standard categorised as category D expires at the end of December 2007.

they are reviewed.

Reason for the revision
The unit standards in this domain have either passed their review date of
31 December 2006, or are due for review 30 September 2007. It was decided that a full
review of the whole domain should take place, and the standards have been rolled over for
this review to be undertaken in 2008. The unit standards have also been revised to reflect
updates to special notes, the change in terminology from ‘enterprise’ to ‘industry’, and new
email contact details.
