DETAILS OF WORKING EXPERIENCES:-Worked as DUTY NURSE IN SRI RAMACHANDRA MEDICAL CENTRE AND
RESEARCH INSTITUTE, in Chennai City attending to the following duty:Medical and surgical disciplines with specific area of interest in specializes like cardiology,
nephrology, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, cardio – thoracic, neonatal ICU
including Hemo dialysis
Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) is a tertiary care multi-specialty university
hospital. Today, SRMC is a leader in healthcare for patients who walk through its portals daily
and many more who seek remote healthcare through its connectivity and telemedicine services.
With around 1650 beds, 100 ICU beds, 16 operating rooms and a campus spread over 175 acres;
SRMC is one of the largest private healthcare facilities in South Asia. Our hospital got an ISO
certificate and joint commission international accredited hospital.
TYPE OF PATIENT;
All medical and surgical patient and including cardiology and infectious patient covering
H1N1 patient also.
ABLE TO PREFORM FOLLOWING TECHNICAL PROWESS IN EFFICIENT
MANNER SUCH AS:

























Receive the patient with case files, from emergency, wards, OT, Cath Lab or as direct
admission. Endorsement in the C.C.U. Patients Register.
Make the Patient comfortable on the bed and check the general condition, record vital
signs in the Master Chart.
Connect all necessary monitoring devices to the patient.
Help the patient in their daily ailments.
Raising the slip through computer for medicines investigations and diet.
Intend the required drugs every day and remaining medicines will be returned to the
pharmacy.
Early morning sponge bath mouth care will be given to maintain personal hygiene.
Q2H position changing, back care frequent mouth care, Eye Care will be given for
immobilized patients.
If the patient is posted for surgery, prepare the patient for surgery and sent to the OT on
time.
Explaining the patient’s relatives about visiting hours.
Receiving patient of Cardiac Emergences like Myocardial infarction, Cardiac arrest,
unstable angina, Heart Block and Pulmonary edema.
Care of patient with post Cardiac procedures like angiogram, angioplasty temporary and
permanent pace maker.
Care of patient on Ventilator, Cardiac monitoring, IABP, arterial lines & venous lines,
Tracheostomy, Jejunostomy, Colostomy, and ICD & CAPD.
Assist for IABP, arterial lines & venous lines.
Care of the patient with the burns, head injury, trauma CVA, poisoning, DM, DKA,
Hepatic encephalopathy, TB, COPD, Asthma, HIV, HBsAg.
Checking Vital signs hourly and recording it.
Dressing of minor and major wounds.
Assess neurological status (Glasgow coma Scale), Blood sugar and Urine Sugar, ABG in
time.
Maintaining intake and output chart.
Collection of specimens and sent to Laboratory as early as possible.
ECG, Blood Transfusion, Catheter insertion and Bladder wash.
Removal of lines according to patient’s condition.
Care of ICD, Gastrostomy & Colostomy Care.
Insertion of Ryle’s tubes.
Helping the patient to mobilize.
