VVS Murari’s hereditary can be traced back the great composer and the youngest
amongst the Trinities, Muttusvami Dikshitar. Murari is the fourth generation of musicians
in the family. His grandfather Vadakkencheri Sri. Veeraraghava Iyer was a noted teacher
and musician in his days. He started learning from his grandfather and from there on his
under his father, Veteran Violin Maestro Sri V V Subrahmanyam. They have been
instrumental in inculcating this divine art form into this prodigy.
Murari is a dynamic and a contemporary violinist of the immortal art form, South Indian
classical music (carnatic music) with an uncompromising adherence to perfection,
traditionalism and discipline. This unique steadfast character was instilled in him from an
early age of three by father and guru, Violin Maestro Shri V V Subrahmanyam. This
child prodigy's debut as a soloist was at the age of 10.
He owns a charm of having seasoned his talent by accompanying his father for many
prestigious concerts with privileged opportunities of sharing concert stages with maestros
at an early age.
His manodharma is marked with high level of aesthetics. His fine caliber embedded on a
divine and sincere approach to the particular genre is astounding. Murari's uniqueness is
explicit in his lucid raga essaying which softly penetrate into the souls of the listeners.
Taking the true foot steps of his illustrious guru & father, Murari, an ideal accompanist is
characterized as an incredibly shadow of any main artiste.
His love and interest for the Instrument and Classical Music inspired him to learn ethnic
nuances from the Veteran Vocalist Late Semmangudi Sri. Srinivasa Iyer.
He is versatile as a soloist and hence does not restrict himself only as an accompanist but
also presents prestigious Solo Concerts.
He has won various critical acclaims and has performed extensively in India and abroad.
His contribution to music extending over two decades stays strongly rooted with his
sensitivity to adapt to different styles of music.
He conceptualizes and executes his style of playing in a way that it stands as a pillar of
support for a concert . He is known to for his flourished extempore and accompaniment
in a 5 Stringed Violin.
Murari has had privileged opportunities to accompany veteran Vocalist like Sangita
Kalanidhi, Smt D K Pattammal, Padmabushan, Madurai Sri N Krishna Iyengar, Sangita
Kalanidhi Shri T K GovindaRao, Padmabushan Trichur Sri V Ramachandran,
Padmabushan Sri T V Shankaranarayanan, Sri O S Thyagarajan and earn their
appreciation
He has also shared the stage with percussive legends such as Umayalpuram K
Sivaraman, Palghat Raghu, TK Murthy, Trichy Sankaran, Late Tanjore
Upendran, Vellore Ramabadran, Guruvayur Dorai, TV Goplalakrishnan,
Karaikudi Mani, Vikku Vinayakram, Late G Harishankar, in numerous
occasions.
As a Creator
His interests opened new vistas in the field of dance dramas, ballets, music productions,
composing, fusion music etc.
Murari's enthusiasm and versatility is evident through an unique album named " East Of
Salzburg " , a proportionate thematic medley of Carnatic Classical and Western Classical
Music composed by himself along with his group called NEOVIBES which was released
in 1999 by HMV. Neovibes also performed Live Fusion performances in India.
He has also been a part of MAGIC FACTORY (A South Based Music Producing
Company) for some of its works for Ad Films, Short Television Serials and Short Films.

Indian Classical Music" @ World Vocal Music Festival, Finland
In May 2004 Murari had an opportunity to be the lead Solo violinist in Maestro
Illayaraja's Symphony held at the Angelica International Music Festival at
Modena, Italy
Performed for the Conservatory of Tours & University of Tours, France and for
KIT Tropen Theater in Netherlands and Belgium
In Oct 2005, Murari accompanied Bombay Jayashri Ramnath at the prestigious
Sadler's Wells, London for Sama Arts Network Ltd
In Feb 2006 Murari toured France, Spain & Portugal along with Bombay Jayashri
Ramnath
In Jun 2006 Murari accompanied Bombay Jayashri Ramnath at the prestigious
Oriental Music Festival in France
In Nov 2006, Murari accompanied Bombay Jayashri Ramnath at the Prestigious
Theater De la Ville @ Paris
Active participant of "SREE" a Thematic Dance Production by famous
Choreographer and Dancer Late. Chandralekha
Invited by the famous Dancer & Choreographer Shri Chandrabhanu of Melbourne
to perform in his Unique Thematic Dance productions

Systems Private Limited as a Director of Program Management.
He is currently pursuing an Interdisciplinary PhD. (Music & Management) with
University of Madras
Murari’s passion is not only Music but also in Cricket and Badminton. Murari has lead
the Musician Cricket team on many occasions
