Approved laboratories for liver fluke testing The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) has approved the laboratories listed below to test liver fluke samples from animals, pre- and postentry to WA. These laboratories: participate in the DAFWA liver fluke quality assurance scheme use the DAFWA fluke egg sedimentation test (FEST) method or another approved method. (Please note that at present the Fasciola hepatica copro-antigen detection ELISA for post-entry samples from sheep and cattle is only approved if conducted at DAFWA.)
