Approved laboratories for liver fluke testing
The Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (DAFWA) has approved
the laboratories listed below to test liver fluke samples from animals, pre- and postentry to WA.
These laboratories:
 participate in the DAFWA liver fluke quality assurance scheme
 use the DAFWA fluke egg sedimentation test (FEST) method or another approved
method. (Please note that at present the Fasciola hepatica copro-antigen
detection ELISA for post-entry samples from sheep and cattle is only approved if
conducted at DAFWA.)
