Unit Plan

Summative Unit Assessment :
Summative Assessment Objective
Students will identify and use story vocabulary correctly within the context of
sentences. Students will read, analyze, and discuss three persuasive articles
and identify varying points of view. Students will use text evidence to
respond to questions from each story. Students will analyze different charts
and use the information presented to better understand the stories.
Students will identify Greek and Latin prefixes and the meanings of these
prefixes. Students will identify words and their meanings that contain these
prefixes. Students will design a poster representing various inventions which
have modernized today’s world and write a persuasive essay on technology.
