Festival Xtasy 2012 – This year for the first time, the biggest European glamour photo event
will be presented in the Czech Republic. Registration has already started!
From 28.8. to 1.9.2012 Prague will belong to beautiful women, lovers of photography and all those
who want to entertain. The biggest European glamour photo event – the festival Xtasy 2012 will
introduce itself.
So far missing in the Czech Republic and Europe, this unique event will celebrate glamour photography
for the first time. Before opening the festival itself; workshops, courses, exhibitions, and competition
will take place in Prague. Everything will culminate over the last holiday weekend at a global
photography festival supported by its beautiful host venue, Okoř castle, a small distant from Prague. A
photo park with a collection of thematic stages will offer not only a useful background but a real
photography harvest to amateurs, beginners and professionals. Not to mention an accompanying
programme, interesting guests, and excellent photographers.
What exactly will happen?
As a very popular photography genre, glamour is not easy to describe nor create. It is because it
contains much more than „a picture of beautiful and sensual, scantily dressed woman“. The best
glamour photography is distinguished mainly by original atmosphere, energy and excitement.
„Hardly anybody has a chance to make quality glamour pictures. In most cases, a photographer has to
rely on home amateur conditions, or expensive courses. With the Xtasy, everything is at one place –
beauty, variety, professionalism, and meeting experts“ says Jiří Macháček, Director of the festival.
The unusual festival zone will be built up on a meadow below the castle. It will include ten large
covered stages, consisting of a platform with a professional film decoration, where glamour stories will
be played. This year is dedicated to the theme HOT & WILD!, and visitors can look forward to seeing
the photo stages such as Wild Cats, Harley Davidson Stage, Prison, Hard Rock, Ferrari Stage, Factory
Gym, and others. Starring a variety of professional photo models, including several Playboy Playmates.
A special space with three-step terrace for photographers will be allocated directly in front of stages.

Programme
High level event keeping with good taste is guaranteed not only by good organization, quality
technique, staff, catering, and programme, but also by the attendance of Czech and International
professionals.
Our special guest and patron of the festival will be one of the best world glamour photographers –
Rolando Gomez. Also the U.S. Playmate Cassandra Lynn has confirmed her joining Mr. Gomez at the
event.
Prior to the festival itself, an exhibition and party in Prague Harley´s bar will take place. For both main
festival days, besides taking photos, visitors will enjoy competitions and a rich programme, which will
be certainly appreciated also by a wider public. The Private Lounge will be hosted within the castle. A
unique top-less and editorial nude photo stage, corners for individual photography, music production,
spa zone, beach bar, and catering will be on offer.
Glamour photography
Fascination with the woman´s body has been a muse of throughout the ages. Every woman has
moments when she is in her most beautiful. Glamour photographer´s intentions are to recognize these
moments and capture them. Sometimes, glamour is associated with fashion photography, but key
difference consists of emphasizing model rather than clothes. Glamour does not require nudity, and,
on the contrary, partial nudity provokes a feeling of erotic tension, which is typical for this genre of art.
A result of this is a picture, forever serving as illustration of beauty and sensuality of respective
women.
Glamour photography is very popular and a wide-spread genre, the beginnings of which date back to
the 19th century. The origin of current glamour genre is connected with early Hollywood. Later, and to
this date, it has been Playboy, which revolutionised the world of glamour photography.
Entrance and registration
Admission for visitors over 18+. Number of participants is limited. Registration is possible also at
www.xtasy.eu. BASIC entrance fee enables admission to a photo park, without possibility of taking
pictures. Purchasing SILVER or GOLD accreditation entitles a visitor to take photos anywhere within the
festival, also enables access to allocated space in front of the photo stages. Copyright and model
release, including participation in the festival contest, provides a prime opportunity to premium pass
holders.
