This is about you and about me. Photography is our common thread and that’s what this club is
about. So whenever you want to know about the club, just add up your enthusiasm with other
fellow enthusiasts and the sum will add up to what the Club is.
We want to take away all the reasons for you to not take up photography. So if you feel lack of
motivation to shoot, there are group activities like Heritage Photowalks where you can participate.
Bought a camera? Join our workshops.If you are the backpacker kinds, join us for our Photo Capture
Trips. If you can’t travel, participate in the weekly assignment on our facebook page. Finally, if
there’s no platform for you to showcase, participate in DPC’s exhibitions!

Any camera is fine for our workshops!Photography is more of your creative self expression than
about the camera. The workshops cover basic functions and physics of a camera (which remains the
same for each camera).After a participants gains confidence and knows his/her style and preference
for a particular type of photography (street, portraits, candid, landscape or all of these), we can help
the person choose the right camera and lenses.

That is a difficult question to answer! If you have a specific model in mind, let us know and we can

Simple, you can join any of the subsequent workshop batches. We have workshops running every

Heritage Photowalk
Heritage Photowalk = Heritage + Photography + Fun
The basic idea of Heritage Photowalks is to provide participants with the opportunity to appreciate,
and capture with their cameras, the rich heritage and legacy of our city that has persevered through
decades.
Every month, we take photography enthusiasts on weekends to different parts of Delhi. As a group,
we search for photographic opportunities, click together and have fun. These walks are usually done
in the mornings. We have covered several monuments and places of Delhi namely, Chandni Chowk,
Old Fort, Red Fort, Azadpur Sabji Mandi, Jamaali Kamaali, Lodhi Garden, Humayun’s Tomb,
Safdarjung’s Tomb, Hazrat Nizammuddin etc.
How are these walks unique?
Heritage Photo Walks (HPws) are a unique concept started by DPC with the intent of encouraging
beginners to pursue photography more passionately. You may have cameras at home, but if you
don’t have like minded enthusiasts around you, you won’t really use your camera beyond casual
photo opportunities in social gatherings.





A Heritage Photowalk has a trained guide along with you who brings the history alive with
anecdotes, narratives and stories.
We encourage beginner photographers to join us for the walks. Therefore, you are assured
of a group of likeminded people around you, who are also learning photography. So relax!
Everyone is as enthusiastic as the other.
With the group, you can venture into lanes and sides of Delhi which you can’t on your own.
Everything, from organizing the walk, the guide, tickets for entry into monuments,
refreshments, etc is on us. Walkers are neither expected to donate any money or pay for
anything. Really, we mean it; there’s no catch in it!
Each walk is themed. Heritage does not mean only buildings and monuments; it also means
our culture, environment, traditions that we have inherited.

How does one join the walk?
Simple, select the walk that you want to join, from the list below and send your request. These are
first come first serve basis. Once we receive the request, we send a confirmation mail. All those who
are confirmed for the walk are welcome
Is there any fee for the walk?
We do these walks on Saturdays and Sundays (usually every 20 days). The Saturday walks are paid
(Rs. 150) and are facilitated by a DPC volunteer. The walks on Sundays are free and are facilitated by
a Heritage Expert. Simple breakfast is served during the Sunday walk

Wedding Photography
During a wedding, it is the candid moments that form memories of a lifetime, rather than the typical
posed photographs. While you would be busy getting ready for your big day, we would be busy
capturing those precious moments for you!
DPC undertakes wedding photography assignments on a selective basis. If you wish to see our work,

How much do we charge?
Well, it depends on several factors.
How many photos? Typically a candid photography shoot generates about 40 photos. Ofcourse, one
can go for more, but the quality suffers
Do you need us to arrange for regular photographer and videographer as well?
Do you want printed photos?
How many functions do you intend us to cover? Typically, there is a pre wedding/post wedding and
the wedding that gets covered
Where is the wedding? If it is outstation, the cost will include stay and travel as well.
P.S: We won’t be your usual album photographers (clicking 1000 photos!). We would like to click
only your most treasured photos.

What is a DPC Chapter?
A DPC chapter is a photography club or society that believes in the philosophy of inclusiveness and
using photography as a medium to express itself. A DPC chapter will be the official extension of Delhi
Photography Club in a particular city.
If you are a photography club, we should be talking. We are actively considering setting up the DPC
chapters in different parts of the country. Currently, we are introducing Chapters in Bangalore and
Mumbai
