James Choi Save the World with H30 Aluminum Made Bottled Water Objective: This purpose of this brochure is to end the use of plastic bottles by resorting to aluminum based products. By using a bottle made by H30, it is much more likely that consumers will re-use and recycle due to the higher value of aluminum as well as its ecofriendly benefits. Intended: The intended audience of this brochure is worldly conscious adult consumers who have the ability to influence younger generations and generations after them. What It Is and Where It Came From H30 is a bottled water distributing company that was founded only recently by Jay Seymour in an effort to reduce consumption and use of petroleum made products. Due to the high volume of waste that exceeds our geographical capacity, Seymour thought that the simple idea of replacing the 50 billion numbers of bottles bought each year with aluminum bottles had the ability to make a difference in more ways than he imagined. The Product H30, is a next level product of bottled water that uses microscopic thin aluminum instead of plastic to deliver an environmentally conscious way of taking water on-the-go. The idea of the product started after an experience of seeing the dangerous effects of petroleum in communities and the Earth. I believe this product has the ability to change the world, even if it may be only replacing the existence of plastic bottles one day at a time. There are obviously some differences in buying H30 as opposed to plastic bottles, primarily in cost, but there are several definitive reasons why the impact of using H30 completely outweighs the differences. The Basics By replacing plastic bottles with aluminum bottles has the ability to make all the change necessary to greatly reduce the use of petroleum, conserve oil and reduce fossil fuel emissions. What all those three things have in common is their role in creating plastic. Simply put, with the increased use of aluminum we can help the environment in a number of ways. But the great thing about aluminum is that it has the ability to do more than just reduce harmful effects of petroleum. Its abundant supply has the ability to be used more commonly in replacing household products. The Target H30 primarily targets the environmentally conscious consumers and its success derives from the scale of environmental awareness. Thus, for the reason this product came into existence, H30 industries will supply a number of campaigns in order to reach as wide of an audience as possible. Through efforts based on the framing theory, H30 will team up with the media, non-profits, members of congress and leaders around the globe to create high definition exposure and lasting effects. The Money Aluminum is the third most abundant element after oxygen and silicon and it is the most abundant metal. Though this fact seems headed in the direction of a lower priced bottle, -- for H30 it’s not. Here’s why. H30 manufactures its bottles the same way plastic bottles do, in packages of 34-30 and only in bulk. The price paid for this package is about 3$ more than plastic bottles. Don’t worry it pays off. Benefits Aluminum bottles unlike plastic have a near zero problem of attracting bacteria when being refilled, unlike plastic bottles. Therefore, the likeliness of re-using the bottle is much higher. The return on aluminum when recycled is much higher as well at nearly twice the return of plastic. Be warned, if aluminum does take over the world that price will go down, but on the flip side if aluminum usage does increase it has the ability to put new workers into refineries and manufacturing. Water in General Water is inaccessible in parts of the world. This is saddening to know when thinking about the fact that the world is 2/3 water. H30 started as a non-profit seeking to fix this problem and to this day donates a package of water for every one bought in order to continue efforts to provide water to places where it is unavailable. Water is a precious resource and while we should continue to reserve it we should also be aware of the means in which it is delivered. The Founder Jay Seymour got his first taste of environmental awareness when he was taking an economics journalism course at the University of Southern California. After graduating he took the year to travel the world and discovered the places where clean water was inaccessible. After looking at how plastic bottles were being disposed in the country after being used he felt confronted with another issue –waste. It was then he wanted to find a way to combine both
