2. Curriculum development
The first version of the structure of the Curriculum for Information System was specified.
The Curriculum structure was the base for forming the groups and assigning the tasks
to them.
The Curriculum structure is the following:
•
Curriculum broad areas of knowledge, which can be divided in
•Curriculum streams, sub areas covered by the sequence of
courses
•Curriculum courses (modules) which should be described
according to the following format:
• Prerequisite knowledge,
• Description
• Objectives,
• Content through Learning units,
• Assessment
• Resources and References
• Comments
It was also concluded that the Curriculum for Information Systems we develop should
have more Software Engineering contents then the one given in IEEE/ACM
recommendations
The following broad areas of knowledge has been defined:
1. General education (GE)
2. Information Technology (IT)
3. Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis (QQA)
4. Organizational and Management Concepts (OMC)
5. Theory and Development of Systems (TDS)
6. Domain knowledge (DK)
The “Domain knowledge” should replace parts of the other knowledge areas for
participants having specific curriculum for domain information system or having
information systems as minor.
Only undergraduate curriculum was considered. The development of the graduate
curriculum, as well as specific curricula for domain oriented information systems are
postponed.
The undergraduate curriculum is planned for 8 semesters (4 years) with approximately
40 courses (5 per semester). The weighing factors of the knowledge areas in the
curriculum are:
1.
2.
3.
4.
GE = 0.15
IT = 0.25
QQA = 0.15
OMC = 0.15
5. TDS = 0.30
The following working group was formed:
IT group (To specify curriculum streams and courses following the prescribed
format):

Goran Devedžić, to specify IS Curriculum for Mechanical Engineering
Danijela Milošević, to specify IS Curriculum for Technical Faculty Cacak
The groups have to finish their work and prepare the reports one week before the
next coordination meeting (middle if January).
Planning publishing of new teaching materials
Proposals for publishing for the first year, with extensive abstract, should be submitted
to the Project coordinator by the end of November.
3. Library system
The functional model of a library system has been defined. The analyses of current
library systems at FRY participant faculties have been performed. According to the
model and result of the analysis the functional and non-functional requirements for
library software have been defined. The working group to chose the library software
compatible to the Serbian library system is formed:
‰
‰
‰
‰
Branislav Lazarević
Ksenija Lajšić
Milica Vučković
.....
The group should prepare report for the next coordination meeting. The group is
responsible for buying equipment for libraries.
4. Traveling
The «East to West» travels for the first year have been shared in the following way:
‰
‰
‰
‰
‰
Faculty of Organizational Sciences – 3;
University of Kragijevac, Mechanical engineering –1;
University of Kragijevac, Techical Faculty, Cacak –1;
University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Economics –1;

The concrete proposals (Who, When, Why) should be submitted to the Project
coordinator by the end of September.
The «West to East» and «West to West» traveling should be agreed upon between
