America produces 50 billion plastic water bottles per year. That’s 1500
bottles per second.
80% of those bottles end up in landfills.
In the landfills, they can take hundreds of years to decompose and as
they decompose, they release harmful chemicals into the soil and
atmosphere.
Reducing, Reusing, and Recycling will not solve the plastic water bottle
problem.

The production of plastic water bottles will stop when consumers refuse
