Recycling Matters Aspen Falls NEW RECYCLING CENTER DEDICATED Last month, City Manager Maria Martinez officially opened Aspen Falls’ new and improved recycling center. In addition to any item residents typically leave on their curb, the Recycling Center can accept the following special household items free of charge: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) Batteries Fluorescent light tubes Paint Used motor oil Oversized cardboard Yard debris Centers are open Monday through Saturday from 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Frequently Asked Questions Can I recycle colored glass and plastics? Yes. Any color plastic or glass is accepted. Place them in the blue bin and leave it on the curb. You can also bring them to the Recycling Center. Can I recycle Refrigerants? We are prevented by state law to accept refrigerants. However, the city contracts with Armstrong’s Appliances to provide this service. A small fee will be charged. What type of batteries can I bring in? Any household battery will be accepted. Household batteries include AA, AAA, etc.; laptop and cellphone batteries; and car batteries.
