processors, fryers, coffee machines, electric whisks and knives, bread makers,
electric scales, juicers, hand-held vacuum cleaners, small electric heaters and
fans, coffee grinders, electric fondues
Small domestic household DIY electricals
Drills, sanders and other small power tools. Other small household electrical
tools for riveting, nailing or screwing or removing rivets, nails, screws or similar
uses, welding, soldering or similar use
Small household electrical personal care devices
Hairdryers, hair straighteners, curlers and clippers, electric toothbrushes and
shavers, massage and other body care appliances
Other small household electronic and battery powered devices
Clocks and watches, electric typewriters and printers, calculators, cameras,
torches, lamps, electronic or battery powered toys, games consoles, telephones
and answering machines, iPods, mobile phones, radios, CD, DVD and video

TVs, computer monitors, microwaves or iPads – these should all be taken
to the local HWRCs for recycling.
Electrical gardening equipment should also be taken to the local HWRCs
for recycling.
Larger electrical items can be taken to the local HWRCs or collected via the
Bulky Waste Service for recycling.
Please, if possible, remove batteries. Most council buildings (community
centres, libraries etc) have containers for the collection of batteries, usually
in the reception area. Local supermarkets and other large retailers also
have containers for collecting used batteries.
