What is your Learning Style? Many people believe that each person prefers different learning styles and techniques. Learning styles group common ways that people learn, and everyone has a mix of learning styles. Some people may find that they have a dominant style of learning, with far less use of the other styles. Others may find that they use different styles in different circumstances. There is no right mix, nor are your styles fixed. When it comes to revision a mixture of learning styles is a great approach, but try to be aware of your own preferred learning styles, and if one isn’t working, try another. There are broadly four preferred learning styles: 1. Visual – Learn through pictures, diagrams, video and demonstrations; 2. Audio – Learn through listening; 3. Reading/writing – Learn through reading or writing. 4. Kinaesthetic (hands on) – Learn through doing. You can take an online quiz to find out your preferred learning style here: http://vark-learn.com/thevark-questionnaire/the-vark-questionnaire-for-younger-people/ .
