Working closely with the support team to facilitate each companion working through over a period of time the Emmaus Cambridge companion development portfolio. Main Duties and Responsibilities Responsible to the Community Director in terms of Play an active involvement in community life Introduction of the training portfolio during induction of companions into the community Completing personal development plans with companions Liaising with training organisations Identification of external training opportunities for companions To ensure that personal information is shared appropriately with the whole staff team To ensure that all companion records and information is maintained in coordination with other staff and in compliance with policies, procedures and the data protection act. Day to day pastoral care of all companions Assisting with moving on companions who request it Ensuring the ethos of Emmaus adhered to and applying community rules with fairness. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to decision making Business functions and responsibilities On the job work training of companions in line with Emmaus Cambridge training programme Dealing with general public and customer care Promote the concept of ‘solidarity’ Other Duties Active involvement in the delivery of the strategic plan for Emmaus Cambridge Attend meetings and liaise with external agencies Perform any other tasks or duties deemed necessary by the Board of Trustees General Emmaus works with vulnerable people. Staff and volunteers must observe the proper demarcation and professional boundaries while performing their role.
