Historic Meridian Park Home Tour
On May 30 & 31, 2015 from 12-6pm, Historic Meridian Park (HMP)—one of
Indianapolis’ pre-eminent early 20th century neighborhoods within which St.
Richard’s campus sits—will offer a rare glimpse inside a number of its beautifully
maintained and restored American Arts & Crafts homes, as well as some of its
gorgeous gardens, during its 2015 Home Tour. Themed “Historic is the New
Green—Restoring the Urban Community,” this tour focuses on the Green aspects
of home renovation and the accessibility of home ownership and restoration in this
vibrant urban community. In addition to the seven homes and two gardens, the
tour features live music and welcoming porches. HMP, on the National Register of
Historic Places since 1990, is a small near-north neighborhood bounded by 30th,
34th and Pennsylvania Sts. and Washington Blvd. Advance tickets are $12 at
select Marsh Supermarkets and on EventBrite. On-site tickets are $15 at Trinity
Church (3243 N. Meridian St)—the starting point of the tour. Butler Lab School
families and faculty members receive $1 off tickets (advance sale or day of the
tour) by using the code “60” on Eventbrite or onsite by identifying themselves as a
member of Butler Lab School and using the special phrase “I Love Bulldogs.”
(The discount cannot be used at Marsh stores.)
