Clothing styles need to be up to date, washed and wrinkle free. Clothing not accepted includes, torn or stained items, garments with missing buttons, extensively worn or piled clothing or clothes of inferior quality. All items are subject to available space in inventory. We reserve the right to refuse consignment of any item. Seasonal Clothing Schedule: Fall (transitional wear) July 15st thru January 30th heavier fabrics, long sleeves, coats, rain boots, denim, fleece and Halloween costumes. Winter (warm wear) October 1st thru January 30th fall wear and gloves, scarves, snow pants, thick jackets and flannel holiday wear. Spring (transitional wear) January 15st thru July 15st lighter fabric, short sleeves, denim, cotton pants and bright colors. Summer (cool wear) March 15st thru July 15st shorts, swimsuits, dresses, sandals, summer hats, tank tops and t-shirts. Books games, toys, furniture and gear are accepted year round and need to be in near perfect condition, complete and without any broken or missing parts. All battery operated items must be tested before they will be accepted for consignment. Children’s furniture and equipment such as cribs, bassinets, strollers and miscellaneous gear for children (backpacks, slings, safety gear, etc.) must be complete without any broken or missing parts. Items must be checked for recalls. Items found to be recalled will be pulled from the sales floor and immediately disposed of. Consignment by appointment only Monday thru Friday 9:45AM to 5:00PM and 10:00AM to 4:00PM on weekends No more than 35 items per appointment All items are priced by Small Threads for Kids and will be kept for a contract period of 60 days We reserve the right to reduce prices on any item during the consignment period and we have the right to donate or dispose of any and all items left for consignment that are broken, stained or found to be unsafe for children The consignee will receive 50% in store credit or 40% for cash out on all items sold thru out the consignment period When the consignment period has expired, the consignee has a 5 day grace period to collect any unsold items. It is the consignee’s responsibility to collect items from the sales floor and present them at the counter for tag removal If the consignee allows the contract period to expire and fails to collect items, any and all items left will become the property of Small Threads for Kids and may be disposed of at our discretion. It is the consignee’s responsibility to know and remember the contract end date. We will not contact the consignee at the end of the contract period. Tax donation receipts are available, by request, in January, for items donated from consignee’s account. Consignee account credit may be used toward store purchase at any time on any new or consigned merchandise. Checks are issued, by request, every odd month. If you would like a check, they will be sent out by the 25th of the odd month following the end of your consignment period and only if a self addressed stamped envelope is provided before the 15th of the check month. A check will not be written or mailed for an account with $10 or less owed.
