FSA Race Night - Friday 24th April 7.30pm in the School Hall
Under starter's orders...and we're off for our second (adults only) Fitz Race Night! It's odds on favourite
(enough yet??) to be as popular as the Pop Quiz so get your entries in asap. Space is limited so applications
in by Tues 21st April please (we need to know how much to buy for the Bar so the sooner the
better). Much fun and frivolity 'Fitz-Style' is anticipated. Horsey hoppers may return if we can retrieve them
from the paddock (and after a vet health check!)
We'll have 8 races on the big screen and a knowledgeable entertaining M/C to host on the night! No racing
knowledge is necessary (random guessing works just as well!) and you don't have to bet on every race. It's
entirely up to you.
How to enter:
 Please fill in the slip below and return in an envelope marked 'Race Night' with your £2 entry per
person enclosed (cash or cheque payable to 'Fitzmaurice School Association')
 Tickets will be issued so please include a child's name and class too to get them back to you (keep
checking those bookbags!)
'Buying horses in advance':
 We have 56 horses to 'sell' in advance to add to the excitement and give you an extra chance for
an 'owner' prize on the night (whether able to attend or not). I'll be by the bike/scooter shelter on
the playground taking £2 per horse for the next week or so at drop-off and pick-up.( We’ll also
be
selling at the library launch on Friday). You'll need to think up some good names for
them! Get Googling! (May have to draw the ‘decency’ line at some!)
On the night:
 Get there a bit earlier to bagsy your table and get your drinks in.
 Bring plenty of change ( £1 bets and Bar will be in £1s and 50ps) Start putting them aside now?
 Bring your own snacks for your table (no nuts please)
 Bar provided. Prices will be as reasonable as ever.
