It was a lovely Mass with super reading, good behavior and singing. Thank you Class 4, Mrs Collins and Mr Mallinson. Thank you Fr Paul and the parishioners for making us so welcome and there was a great turn out of parents, grandparents and friends too, thank you all for coming. ASSEMBLY Yesterday Class 1 showed us all the wonderful things that they had been doing in class. I was sorry to miss it as I believe that the glockenspiel playing was particularly good. Thank you Class1. Miss Chapman, Miss Seton Jones and Mrs Hogan for all your hard work. REFLECTIVE VISIT Thank you to all the staff and children for their cooperation during our Reflective Visit with Dr Andrew Morley and Mrs Goodwin from Mottram Primary, they were really pleased with things that they saw and have given us some hints and tips to help us continue to improve. CHARITIES Thank you for all your recent generosity. On Friday we raised £165.21 for Comic Relief and £207.88 for Cafod. Magdalen Centre PARENTS EVENING APPOINTMENTS Appointments for Parents Evening have been given out this week, please check bags and pockets! UNIFORM Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring that all our children wear smart school uniform. A quick reminder that uniform consists of grey trousers or skirt, pale blue polo shirt and dark blue sweatshirt. If anyone is buying shoes for the warmer weather can I remind you that they need to be black and suitable for playing out in… no open toes or high heels, they are not safe on the playground and field. ALL SAINTS CATHOLIC COLLEGE Year 5 children have been invited to ASCC to see their production of Hairspray on Monday 23rd March. This trip will be taken in school time. BRASS BAND ASSEMBLY Our brass bands will be in action on Friday 27th March in the School Hall at 2.30pm, All welcome. EASTER EGG RAFFLE As usual we would like as many children as possible to leave school for the Easter holidays with an Easter Egg, If anyone is able to donate any Easter Eggs for our Easter Raffle we would be very grateful. The raffle tickets will be on sale during the last week. SPORTS CLUBS It is great that so many children are joining in sporting clubs. If a child signs up for a club then they really need to give a commitment to that club and attend each session and it is really important that you let us know if a child is unable to attend Terri’s Sports Club This half term is volleyball. Volleyball Children have been chosen to represent school at Volleyball on Wednesday 25th March, letters to follow, this is a new event for us! Cheerleading Cheerleading will be on on Wednesday 11th for Y4. 5 and 6! Swimming The TCSSA Swimming Gala was a wonderful evening with everyone swimming really well and 3 medals! Well done Tabitha and Conor. KIT AMNESTY We have some school sports kit missing, please could you look at home and return any that you find. We have 6 pairs of shorts missing and football shirts numbers 2, 5 and 9. We can’t compete if we don’t have the correct kit. Just a reminder that school teams are chosen on sporting ability but this opportunity to represent school is dependent on good behavior in class and at breaktimes. PARKING Please could we ask that all parents park their cars on the church car park and walk down the path to school. The school car park is only just big enough for the staff. Even turning a car round in the school car park could be dangerous to a child. If anyone is picking up your child please could you let them know where to park. PLEASE can you be aware of children crossing Underwood Road when parking.
