National Resource Management LLC, an Engineering and Construction company is seeking a Controls
Engineer for a client in Strongsville, OH. This will be a Direct Hire opportunity.
Job Overview:

This position will be responsible for Planning, Specification and Technical Documentation of
Instrumentation and Control Equipment for Chemical Plants. Provide commissioning assistance
of our clients for all plants supplied by SGL at the client’s production site (within “Americas”).
Key Accountabilities:





Planning, Specification and Technical Documentation of Instrumentation and Control
Equipment for Chemical Plants mainly in the field of inorganic acid chemistry (HCl
absorption, distillation and combustion processes)
Preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Wiring Drawings/Diagrams, Process
Control Descriptions and others
Technical Clarification of project-related I&C topics with customers and suppliers
Commissioning assistance of our clients for all plants supplied by SGL at the client’s
production site (within “Americas”)
Support of Sales Department with I&C related topics
Position Requirements:












4-year degree in Controls Engineering or equivalent
Basic knowledge in chemical process engineering
Knowledge in design/specification of control loops (field instruments and actuated
valves) for chemical industry (predominately for corrosive media, e.g. for hydrochloric
acid)
Sizing of pipelines according to process requirements
Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in chemical process engineering, chemical plant
engineering or service & maintenance for the chemical industry
Basic knowledge in typical I&C software, e.g. Sizing Software of instrument suppliers,
AutoCAD (for wiring drawings)
Willingness to travel (incl. overseas) as the position forms part of an international project
team within SGL Group
Good analysis/problem solving skills
Good written & verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong Organizational and Customer Service skills
