Prom Guidelines In order to ensure that Prom will be a memorable night for everyone involved, it is essential that everyone understands and adheres to the following guidelines: 1. Because the Prom is a school-sponsored event, all Lyons Township High School rules will apply. School rules apply to everyone in attendance, including guests from other schools. Please see the LT student handbook for specific rules. 2. Prom is for Lyons Township students with Senior class status and their guests. Non LT Guests must be at least a freshman in high school but no older than twenty (20) years of age to attend Prom. 3. All LT students wishing to attend Prom must have a parent or guardian sign the Prom Permission Slip and should turn the Permission Slip into the North Campus Bookstore when purchasing tickets. 4. Any guest who is not a LT student must complete a LT High School Prom Guest Permission Slip and have their host from LT turn it into the North Campus Bookstore when purchasing tickets. 5. All LT students must present their LT school ID and Prom ticket (in the form of a keychain) before boarding the buses both to and from Prom. Guests from other schools must present their school ID, a state ID, or driver’s license along with their Prom ticket. 6. The consumption and/or possession of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs before, during, or after the Prom are strictly prohibited. Students suspected of violating this policy may be searched or required to take a breathalyzer test. Under City of Chicago and Cook County Law, Navy Pier is a smoke-free facility. 7. All students and their guests must take the LT provided coach buses to and from the Prom. Students should be at North Campus to check-in no later than 6:30 p.m. Please arrive early to ensure that there will be space for you to ride a bus with your friends as buses will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. Students going to Prom only will be asked to ride a bus marked “Prom Only” and students going to Prom and Post Prom will be asked to ride a bus marked “Prom & Post Prom”. Students are asked to take the same bus both to and from Navy Pier so please make note of your bus number. Buses will return to North Campus at 12:30 a.m. for those students only attending Prom, and 3:30 a.m. for those students choosing to attend both Prom and Post Prom. 8. Students and their guests will have access to the inside of the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier only. Students and their guests are not allowed to leave Prom or Post Prom early. 9. Tickets for Prom and Post Prom will be sold from April 25 - May 6 in the North Campus Bookstore. They will not be sold before or after these dates. Prom Tickets are $100 each. Post Prom tickets are $30 each and must be purchased at the same time you purchase Prom tickets. Tickets will not be sold to students without a completed Permission Slip. Students wishing to buy tickets for their guests should have two completed permission slips.
