COLOR GUARD Congratulations to the Color Guard who placed in the Midwest City
Contest this weekend. JV Color Guard placed 3rd out of 11, and Varsity placed 3rd out of
6 in their respective classes.
PROM TIME! Prom is April 5. Prom tickets will be for sale in the mornings at the snack
bar. Get your discounted tickets early for $35 dollars. Ticket prices will go up in March.
Prom t-shirts will also be for sale. Shirts are $15 dollars. Each student who purchases a
shirt will be entered into a drawing to win TWO FREE prom tickets. Students who are on
the hold list must get those obligations taken care of ASAP. Students cannot purchase
prom tickets until they are clear of all holds. If you are ineligible at the time of prom, you
will not be able to go.
MISSOURI STATE Missouri State at Joplin, Mo. will be here on Wednesday, January
29 at 9:30. Meet in the library.
ACT PREP CLASSES OSU-IT is offering an ACT prep class for 9th -12th graders held
at their campus February 1st . Lunch is provided. For more information call Kayla at 918293-5218 or see Ms. Oakley in the records office,706. Time is from 9:00 to noon.
OU REPRESENTATIVE OU representative Tristen Black will be here on February 17,
Monday, at 10:00 am for Juniors interested in attending OU . Sign up in the records office,
706. It will be in the library.
IT'S PINK OUT TIME We are getting ready for our “2nd Survivor Court” on February
18th at our Chieftain Basketball Games. Turn Tulsa Pink will also be helping us as we
prepare for a Fun Night to bring Cancer of All kinds to the awareness of Teens. We would
like to ask the students to Nominate a Special person that is a cancer survivor of any kind
to participate in our “Court” if you would like to nominate someone please stop by the
Nurse Office before February the 3rd. We can Nominate only 5 so come by soon! Prizes
will be awarded and voting will be done with donations to be given to a cancer charity!
INDIAN ED The College Horizon program is a great opportunity Native American
students to get one on one help on the college application, meet other prospective Native
American college bound students and get financial aid help. This year’s summer program
will be on the campus of Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire. Application
deadline February 4, 2014 – Come by the Indian Education Office in the Woodlawn Annex
for application.
SOPHOMORE CENTRAL TECH TRIP Sophomore's will be going to Drumright and
Sapulpa Central Tech campuses on Tuesday, January 28th and Wednesday, January 29th.
A list will be posted in the hallway on Monday, January 27th for you to check to see which
bus you will ride on.
VARSITY CHEER A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Sapulpa Varsity Cheer for winning 1st
place at Jamfest in Tulsa this weekind.
COLLEGE REPS On Tuesday, February 4th, Ryan Kral from Tulsa Community Care
College will be here to speak to interested students. He also represents Oklahoma
Technical College and Clary Sage College. This will be at 1:00pm. in the library. Sign up in
the records office, room 706
BPA CONFERENCE!! BPA Members that are interested in attending the State BPA
Conference need to attend a short meeting this Wednesday during lunch in room 402.
SNOWBALL PICTURES If you attended the Snowball and had your photo taken,
please stop by Mrs. Rodgers room, room 402 before or after school to see your photo and
purchase. They make great Valentine's pictures!
INDIAN ED The Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) is targeting
11th graders, for a summer program on the east coast. All expenses paid the deadline for
application is January 31st. See Mr. Rodgers for application, Woodlawn Annex, Room 203.
