PROM TIME! Prom is April 5. Prom tickets will be for sale in the mornings at the snack
bar. Get your discounted tickets early for $35 dollars. Ticket prices will go up in March.
Prom t-shirts will also be for sale. Shirts are $15 dollars. Each student who purchases a
shirt will be entered into a drawing to win TWO FREE prom tickets. Students who are on
the hold list must get those obligations taken care of ASAP. Students cannot purchase
prom tickets until they are clear of all holds. If you are ineligible at the time of prom, you
will not be able to go.
ACT PREP CLASSES OSU-IT is offering an ACT prep class for 9th -12th graders held
at their campus February 1st . Lunch is provided. For more information call Kayla at 918293-5218 or see Ms. Oakley in the records office,706. Time is from 9:00 to noon.
IT'S PINK OUT TIME We are getting ready for our “2nd Survivor Court” on February
18th at our Chieftain Basketball Games. Turn Tulsa Pink will also be helping us as we
prepare for a Fun Night to bring Cancer of All kinds to the awareness of Teens. We would
like to ask the students to Nominate a Special person that is a cancer survivor of any kind
to participate in our “Court” if you would like to nominate someone please stop by the
Nurse Office before February the 3rd. We can Nominate only 5 so come by soon! Prizes
will be awarded and voting will be done with donations to be given to a cancer charity!
INDIAN ED The Native American Finance Officers Association (NAFOA) is targeting 11th
graders, for a summer program on the east coast. All expenses paid the deadline for
application is January 31st. See Mr. Rodgers for application, Woodlawn Annex, Room 203.
COLLEGE REPS On Tuesday, February 4th, Ryan Kral from Tulsa Community Care
College will be here to speak to interested students. He also represents Oklahoma
Technical College and Clary Sage College. This will be at 1:00pm. in the library. Sign up in
the records office, room 706
DELTA THETA CHI SCHOLARSHIP Delta Theta Chi's scholarship applications are
now available. GPA and financial need are considered. See your counselor for an
application. Deadline is February 1st.
STAY STAY Meeting in the school nurse office, Thursday Feb 6th at lunch time. Please
come by and let Ms Woolery know if you are going to attend.
COLLEGE/CAREER TECH ACCEPTANCE SENIORS All Seniors that have been
formally accepted to a College or Career Tech, please come fill out a form in the
Attendance office for your information to be displayed on our Senior Acceptance Board.
You must bring a copy of your acceptance letter for proof. This will be updated once a
week.
CHIEFTAIN BEAT Get your January issue of The Chieftain Beat school newspaper,
available now at the snack bar.
TCC On Thursday, February 6 from 9:00 until noon, Aaron from TCC will be here to give
help and information about TCC for interested seniors.
ANIME CLUB Anime Club will be meeting today in Mr. Hope's Room, Woodlawn
101,after school today.
FACULTY PARKING VIOLATIONS Students, Do not park in faculty parking! The
faculty parking spaces are yellow striped & have the word “Reserved” written in yellow. If
you are caught parking in faculty, you will receive detention.
