Applicants are required to provide a substantive critical peer evaluation of their proposal by a
colleague in their discipline. This review is confidential and should be forwarded under separate
cover to the School of Arts and Sciences. All peer evaluations are due as of the application
deadline.

The stipend for the Summer Scholar will be $4,000. This stipend will be paid in Summer 2016.
Summer Scholars may not teach a summer course during the award period.
Each Summer Scholar will complete a report on his/her accomplishments by October 1, 2016.
Summer Scholars will present their research to peers during the 2016-17 school year.
