It’s certainly been a busy, lively and fun-filled term! All the staff have thoroughly enjoyed working with you and your amazing children! This term we’ve been out to the library, the park, the YMCA for gymnastics, museums and galleries. In school we have celebrated Black History with our fantastic Rokesly Carnival. We’ve also been looking at keeping you safe on the roads with Road safety week and zig-zag monster competition (well done Arielle!). Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year from all at Rokesly Infant and Nursery School and Children’s Centre Haringey Food Bank It is especially important at this time of year when we are full of the festive spirit to spare time to think of others. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our Rokesly families this term. Your donations of dried and tinned food have really helped to make a difference to many of our vulnerable local children and families who rely on the Haringey Food Bank. To the many of you who have added an extra item in your shopping list, Thank you. Silver coins for UNICEF Your generosity has not stopped there! Our Ebola Outbreak appeal for UNICEF has now reached almost £140. That’s an amazing donation. Thank you. ABsolutely Catering is delighted to be appointed the new contract caterer to Rokesly Infant and Rokesly Junior School from January 2015. ABsolutely Catering is a specialist company created to deliver great food and service to primary and junior schools. We operate within schools nationally and provide excellent food services to over 250 schools. We have gained a unique understanding of delivering catering to primary schools and have experienced teams of professional staff that work with each school to improve the quality of the food and service to increase patronage. The menus we design, produce and serve utilise our expertise and understanding of children’s tastes. We start with the right ingredients, freshly prepared, in season and where possible locally sourced. Each menu is nutritionally balanced and offers exciting and tasty choices that appeal to each specific age group. We continuously improve our services and will seek your feedback to further develop and innovate the menus. Lunchtime is when the children can relax and socialise with a delicious lunch that will keep them nourished and sustained throughout the afternoon. Helping the children to make the right choice at lunchtime and understand the importance of healthy eating is at the forefront of our service.
