101.1
1.
The Edmonton Catholic Separate School District No. 7 shall keep current and implement a threeyear education plan consistent with provincial requirements and local needs.
2.
When developing its three-year education plan the district is expected to
3.
a.
build on the provincial vision and mission for education;
b.
adapt the provincially required goals and results to reflect the unique characteristics and
circumstances of the Edmonton Catholic Separate School District No. 7;
c.
reflect the Alberta Children’s Initiative;
d.
include other goals, results, performance measures, and strategies that reflect the district’s
local needs and circumstances;
e.
set district targets for student achievement on achievement tests and diploma
examinations. Additional targets may be set.
f.
consult with parents, staff, school council, and community and business representatives in
the development of the three-year education plan.
When updating the three-year education plan, the district will consider
a.

e.
the information in its results report and in the provincial three-year plan and annual
results report;
the feed back received from Alberta Education;
the concerns and suggestions from school councils, parents and the public,
the allocation of resources to achieve results outlined in the plan when developing its
budget; and
priorities of the leadership team of the district (board of trustees and senior administrative
staff).
4.
As necessary for measuring performance, the district will conduct surveys of staff, students,
parents, and community members.
5.
The three-year plan is to be updated and placed on the district Web site by May 31 each year.
The complete plan is to be on file and available for Alberta Education monitoring and public
review. Stakeholders shall be provided with copies.
