Agro-advisories
 Looking to the observed thunderstorms during past two days and present
weather conditions farmers are advised to complete the harvesting of matured
rabi crops viz., gram, mustard, wheat etc. followed by threshing and winnowing
of produce kept in the threshing floors as early as possible and store the produce
in safe place.
 After the harvesting of rabi crops farmers are advised for deep ploughing for
soil solarization.
 Owing to the increase in temperature and thereby increase in evapotranspiration (7-8 mm/day), the water requirement of summer crops will also
increase, hence it is advised to irrigate the crops/ vegetables frequently as per
requirement.
 Weather conditions are suitable for proper germination of summer green gram;
hence it is advised to prepare the fields after harvesting of wheat/ gram and
complete the sowing of green gram at the earliest.
 To avoid fruit dropping in mango, farmers are advised to spray NAA 20-25
mg/litre water or Planofix 2 ml and Kerathane 2 g/litre water at 15 days
interval. Besides these the fruits of mango and sapota are at development stage,
hence farmers are advised to irrigate the trees at 8-10 days interval.
