 Prepare reports of all employee and non-employee injuries, illnesses, and incidents for review by
senior management on a daily basis (including train crew operating rule violat ions and trespasser
fatalities)
 Investigate and determine the root cause of all incidents and recommend engineering or policy
changes to prevent incident recurrence
 Ensure procedural and personnel compliance with all appropriate federal regulations outlined in 49
CFR 200-299 (Transportation) to include Blue Signal Protection of Workers, FRA Bridge Worker
Safety Rules, Roadway Worker Protection, and other applicable regulations
 Conduct and complete hazard and threat analysis for areas of concern and work with various
agencies to implement mitigation actions
 Conduct training and workplace safety inspections of facilities and employees of all departments to
ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations
 Conduct monthly safety meetings with all departments in various locati ons and address safety
