The Continental Army:
 Led by George Washington. 10,000 soldiers
 Little experience; fought like Indians hiding behind trees
and rocks.
 Poorly trained, poorly equipped, and not well supplied.
The British Army:
 Great experienced leaders. 50,000 soldiers.
 Well trained, equipped, and supplied.
 Had trouble getting men and supplies to colonies with
Britain being 3,000 miles away.
