READERS READERS READERS
A meeting for readers on Thursday 15th October
at 7pm. Please all readers be present. The Word
deserves it, God deserves it. All parishioners
deserve it. Also opportunity for new comers to
practice.
"THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND ACTIVE."
There is a great responsibility on all of us to be
aware of the above statement.
And if it is not true for you then you are not reading
the Word with faith.
Again I talk about the need for all of us to prepare for
mass.
Here I make a special plea to our readers to be well
prepared.
I am working on a new list which some of you will
have already received.
However we do need to get together for a session
and a practice especially for newcomers but all are
welcome even more newcomers.
Can I say Friday 16th at 7pm. However if you cannot
make that session please arrange with me and we
can do private session any time. That is how
important it is.
ONLY THE BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR GOD
The tongue is the deadliest of all
blunt instruments
SCHOOL MASS
Next Sunday the 6th year children (all those who
hope to go to secondary school next September)
will be leading the 10 o'clock mass. Please mums
and dads we would like to see you all, some very
important issues to discuss
HANDY MAN
From time to time there are a lot of small jobs to be
done around the parish. Many I do myself. However it
would be great if there is someone else who is willing
and able to do the odd job.
Getting in some one cost £50 before you start. So it
would be a good saving for the parish. Please let me know.
Parish Forum
Parish forum on 29th October at 7pm. Your
thoughts, ideas and suggestions will be very
welcome. Hope to see you.
November Dead List
Please bring in a list of all those you would like to prayed for
before the end of October. These names will be placed on
the Altar during the month of November when we pray for
all the dead.
An American commentator after the
Pope’s visit to the USA said “his
understanding of politics as a moral
enterprise rises above the conservativeliberal debate that animates public policy”.
