EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF
COMMUNION
Fr Jack
Isn't it great to see such great characters in today’s
readings’? All three - Isaiah, Paul and Peter and I
would like to add my own name to that list if it does
not seem presumptuous.
All inadequate and all aware of our own short
comings but all very aware of their need for
God, "In whom all things are possible."
Step up and take your place and let us see your
light.
The world is full of hurlers on the ditch. People who
shout form the side but would not do a thing to further
the cause/church/you.
As Fr. Fulton Sheen said:"Christianity is not a system of ethics: it is a life.
It is not good advice: it is divine adoption”.
Being a Christian does not consist in just being kind to
the poor, going to church, singing hymns or
serving on parish committees, though it includes all of
these.
It is first and foremost a relationship with Jesus
Christ.
Congratulations to our 10 ministers who were
commissioned at the cathedral yesterday. We
wish them long and happy ministry.
Please, please, please there will be a
meeting for all ministers, new and
old on Monday the 15th February at 7pm
in the hall.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
There will be Stations of the Cross every Wednesday
and Friday after mass. If you can’t join in church please
do them on your own as a good Lenten exercise.
There are several sets on Mrs.Google we often give up
something for lent but try doing something for Lent.
Parents encourage your children to give up something
and put the savings in your Red Box or any box for the
missions.....the spread of the gospel.
