Select Sires, Inc. is seeking Livestock Technicians, Shipping Technicians and Processing Technicians. Work schedules and duties vary per facility for these non-exempt positions and employees are paid hourly wages. All work schedules are subject to change to meet departmental needs. Candidates must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and organized. HDQ Chichester Center Reports to Jim Pond/Dave Adkins: Livestock Technician duties include, but are not limited to, providing complete care of bulls and animals to include reporting health and condition, assisting with feeding and stall management, assisting with the management of silos and related equipment, cleaning hay and feed storage barns, and preparing and handling mount animals and bulls for evening collection in Headquarter herds. The work schedule is 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm on rotating days that include working some weekends. HDQ Chichester Center Reports to Gregg Marsh: Livestock Technician duties include, but are not limited to, bull handling for semen collection, stall cleaning, feeding, any and all related barn chores, and other tasks as assigned. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. HDQ Chichester Center Reports to Dave Brake/Andy Snyder: Processing Technician duties include, but are not limited to, printing packages using jet print system and filling, sealing, racking, freezing, and storing straws. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. HDQ Chichester Center Reports to Gary Elliott/Joe Fraley: Shipping Technician duties include, but are not limited to, packing semen orders, caning semen, filling storage tanks with liquid nitrogen, lifting and transporting 75-80 pound tanks (two-person assist), and other tasks as assigned. Applicant must be able to stand for long periods, lean and reach into tanks, and twist and turn from tank to tank. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, subject to change to meet departmental needs. Occasional overtime and/or weekend work may be required. Kellgren and Hecker Centers - Reports to Joel Boysel/Lance Ridge: Livestock Technician duties include, but are not limited to, bull handling for semen collection, stall cleaning, feeding, any and all related barn chores, and other tasks as assigned. The work schedule is based on ten (10) hour days and four (4) days per week, rotational scheduling requires some weekend work. The hours are 6:00 am to 4:30pm. Overtime opportunities are available. Wells Road Reports to Elmer Watkins/Carrie McFarland: Livestock Technician duties include, but are not limited to, bull handling for semen collection, stall cleaning, feeding, any and all related barn chores, and other tasks as assigned. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:15 am to 2:45 pm. Mandated weekend work is required (Saturday and Sunday schedule is 10:00 am to 2:00 pm).
