Egypt Report- King Tut By Mikayla Castillo Spectacular, Religious, Famous –King Tut’s tomb was famous because it was the only non-raided tomb in Egyptian history. King Tut’s tomb had rich treasures and was filled with gold. King Tut, King Tut’s Mummy and Tomb, All of the Kings Treasures and Solved Mysteries. King Tut “Howard Carter was running out of time”. The fine taught man Howard Carter was at a tomb but he didn’t know what tomb it was. He searched until he knew it was King Tut’s tomb. Howard Carter was already out of time he had to get as much research as he could find. He saw the tomb filled with gold. King Tut’s Mummy and Tomb “Today he is known as King Tut”. King Tut was a pharaoh of the 18th dynasty, his original name was Tutankaten which means, “Living image of Aten”. King Tut was nine years old when he became pharaoh. He ruled for ten years until he was killed at nineteen years old. He was the son of Akhenaten and Queen Kiya. “ In the early 1920’s, some people believed that mummy tombs were cursed”. When the king was being wrapped something had gone wrong with Tut’s mummy. The black liquid they use to make the cloth stick together damaged the skin and the cloth of the mummy, so that makes 5 feet, 4 inches worth of skin which made the mummy’s body look like a zombie. Tut’s tomb held at least 4,000 items. Layers of gold covered the furniture. There was personal items of King Tut’s in the annex. In the last shrine he saw the King’s sarcophagus and with it was his two daughters buried with him. All his treasures and solved mysteries “The burial shrines were poorly built”. The items they found helped them solve the mysteries they were trying to solve, it also helped them learn about life in Egypt. The flowers on Tut’s tomb showed that he maybe died in the spring, and the mask on his mummy showed what he looked like. On the wall there was a picture where it showed Tut hunting and what it looked like was that Tut was happy when he was hunting . The games and instruments showed that Tut was interesting when he was alive. Tut’s tomb wasn’t cared for compared to the other tombs The workers didn’t have time to care for Tut’s tomb, so that’s why the shrines on his tomb were poorly built. Some people think that Tut’s tomb was rushed so it will keep people from learning about it.
