INSTRUCTIONS TO STAFF, SUPPLIERS AND SUB CONTRACTORS
Environmental Obligations and Responsibilities
1. This Company operates to an environmental policy and requires all staff,
suppliers and sub-contractors engaged by the Company to do so with due regard
of the environmental impact of such works, which should be minimised wherever
practicable.
2. Any substances/products known to have a significant detrimental effect to
persons or the environment, and which are used or intended to be used by staff ,
suppliers or sub-contractors, should be brought to the attention of the Company
and should only be used where suitable and where economically viable
alternatives are not available.
3. All wastes and contamination, either existing or arising from work carried out on
the company premises, is the responsibility of the Company to dispose of in a
responsible manner. To recycle whenever possible or dispose of responsibly.
4. Any sub-contractors waste is the responsibility of the contractor to dispose of in a
responsible manner.
5. Commercial waste must be disposed of in line with requirements of the
Environment Protection Act 1990, Part II Section 34. No waste should be burned,
buried or in any way disposed of directly by staff or contractors unless they are
licensed to do so.
6. All staff suppliers and sub-contractors will be supplied with a copy of the
Companies Environment Policy and will observe the requirements specified in it.
