Lesson 6 Programme
Extending and enriching your learning
In the following pages, you will find a ‘menu’ of activities from which you can choose a ‘lesson 6’ activity for term 3 and 4.
Please read through all the options carefully, and then complete the form at the back and hand it in to reception no later than Friday 12
December.
Guidance for making your choices:
1. The first page contains activities for all years. The second page is for KS3 students only and the third page for KS4 students.
2. KS3 students will only be registered for one activity. You may want to do several activities, but you will only be registered for one.
You may choose to go along to extra activities as long as there are places. The teacher in charge of the activity will let you know.
3. KS4 students may choose to attend any activity and may change activities in order to maximise the preparation for exams. You
will be registered for the activities you attend and you must attend at least one activity each week.
4. Make sure you choose an activity on a day that you can be at school until 4pm
5. KS3 students - you will be doing this activity in terms 3 and 4. Students will not be able to change activities except in exceptional
circumstances.
6. List 4 choices on your form in order of preference. If you don’t get your first choice this time, we will make sure you get it later in the
year. If you don’t make 4 choices, you may be allocated to something you don’t want to do!
7. If you are doing Cookery Club, please note you will need to pay £1 each week for the ingredients. The sessions may go on until 4.30pm
some weeks, so you need to be able to get home yourself afterwards.
8. If you choose swimming, you must bring your costume and towel every week.
You may be timetabled for catch-up lessons if you are working below your target level or target grade. If
this happens, you may choose to go to extra activities on different days but your catch-up lesson will be
your registered lesson.
