7. Internship Title: Historic Research Assistant
8. Description of responsibilities (please be specific):
This internship is designed for an independent, self-starter with strong research and written communication
skills. This internship will involve researching and documenting important artifacts and events in the history
of Naval Support Facility Dahlgren. There are many topics from which the student can choose to best match
their project with their personal interests and career goals. If desired, the student can also work to construct
an exhibit based on their research. Products of this internship might include: a complete historic report on a
narrow topic, short reports on individual artifacts or events, a complete exhibit, and/or a consolidation of all
historic research needed to support a sub-collection or exhibit topic.
9. Prerequisites (list any coursework, grade or other minimum qualifications and any specific job requirements, i.e. special
hours, transportation availability, etc.): Must be able to provide self-transportation to Naval Support Facility Dahlgren.
