Evacuation Form
POLICY
Muskogee County Head Start will ensure that emergency procedures, including evacuations, are
observed and practiced by the drivers and Head Start students.
PROCEDURE
1. Bus Drivers, in conjunction with Head Start Teachers, the Health Services Manager, and
the Transportation Coordinator will conduct a mock bus evacuation twice yearly.
2. The first evacuation will be held within the first thirty (30) days of school; the second
during the spring, as weather, bus, and classroom schedules allow.
3. All mock evacuations will be performed on Head Start grounds to ensure the safety of the
students.
4. Each bus will be equipped with all federally mandated safety equipment.
