Philosophers – The Greatest Impact!
This last discussion of the first unit asks you to decide which Philosopher’s ideas you feel
impacted our current legal system the most.
Step 1: Place all of the philosophies / theories we have discussed in the impact chart. Using
justification from the theories, rank the impact they had on our current legal system.
Step 2: Come to an informed decision as to whom you feel had the greatest impact on our
current system.
Step 3: Write a “mini” essay according to the style taught in class which summarizes your
argument.
Your essay must:
1) Be at least 500 words (2 pages double spaced)
2) Include at least 1 quotation -- We will use Chicago style formatting for citations – use
footnotes!!
3) Be 5 paragraphs in length – intro, 3 body, conclusion.
