Kindergarten Oral Assessments
Kindergarten will have their assessments on Wednesday,
January 27th and Thursday January 28th.
The students will be in the building for ONLY their
scheduled 30 minutes of testing. The schedules are
posted outside of the Kindergarten classrooms.
(PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR CHILD.)
WIDA ACCESS Assessment
Magonistas who are English Language Learners (ELL) in
grades kindergarten through eighth grade will be testing
currently through Thursday February 11th for the ACCESS
for ELLs® language proficiency test. ACCESS for ELLs®
provides a standardized measurement of academic language
proficiency for ELL students throughout the state of Colorado. It
is imperative that your Magonista is present during this time.
Students will be testing particularly Tuesday through Thursday.
Different grade levels will test on different dates. If your
Magonista must miss school, please call the front office to see
if they are scheduled to test that day. We appreciate your
support during this time!
Report Cards
The front office would like to invite parents to stop by the front
office to pick up their students’ report card. Please stop by the
front office before 2pm on Friday, January 22nd.
Chocolate Sale
The class of 2024 is having a chocolate sale! They have a
variety of chocolate bars for $1 each. You may purchase
your chocolate after school at the fourth grade benches. (In
case of indoor dismissal, please visit either fourth grade
classroom.) All profits will help pay for published poetry
books and yearbooks. Thank you!
Volunteer Hours
We would like to remind parents and guardians to stop by
the front office to document all volunteer hours completed
this year. If you have any questions please feel free to call
the front office.
Boys and Girls Club
RFMA would like to remind parents that the Boys and Girls
club will no longer be providing transportation on Fridays for
the remainder of the school year. Please make sure your
students are picked up at dismissal time at1:30pm on Friday.
Indoor Dismissal
RFMA staff would like to remind parent and guardians that
during indoor dismissal everyone must enter through the front
doors, located on Lowell Blvd at 4:15pm. For the safety of our
Magonistas, the back doors will not be opened to
visitor/parents/guardians during business hours.
Science Club
Science club is back! Science club will be on Wednesdays
from 4:40pm to 5:30pm starting on Wednesday, February
3rd. Kindergarten through 8th grade students are invited to
participate. Please see the front office for Science club
permission slip. Permission slips MUST be turned into the
front office, no later than Friday, January 29th. Parents, all
students must be picked up NO LATER than 5:30pm if
they are in this club.
Box Top Contest Continues
RFMA would like to announce that RFMA is restarting the
Box Tops competition for quarters three and four. If your
student would like to submit Box Tops for their classroom
please place your student’s name ziplock bag or envelope,
with the box tops inside.

Broncos Friday
RFMA would like to invite all Magonistas to show their support
of the Denver Broncos by wearing Bronco gear tomorrow,
Friday January 22nd! (Please make sure that all apparel is
appropriate. Also, students may wear the combination of blue
and orange. Otherwise, they will need to wear RFMA uniform.)
