JA is seeking an experienced, detail oriented professional with significant success using Raiser’s Edge to
support a fast-paced Development Department.
Position Purpose:
The Development Administration Assistant provides overall support to JA’s Development Department.
The position includes donor research and database management, mailings, record-keeping and key
account compilation. They assist with necessary support services to create and maintain a productive
and efficient work environment. The Development Assistant provides accurate and timely information to
senior management as needed.

Managing donor database (Raiser’s Edge)
Organizing and entering daily gifts; preparing and distributing daily funding report
Researching key donors and preparing key account reports
Administering fundraising mailings
Preparing contribution acknowledgements/thank you letters for events and donations
Working with Accountant to reconcile gift and donation reports
Preparing invoices for operating, program sales, scholarship, and other pledges to ensure timely
payment
Maintaining development department supplies (pledge cards, return envelopes, etc.)
Providing back-up for general administration of board of directors, such as keeping accurate
board lists, preparing board orientation packets, and creating and editing documents
Providing other administrative and support duties as needed
Updating JA’s website and supporting other online fundraising activities
Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma, advanced proficiency with Raiser's Edge,
ability to manage multiple priorities, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organization skills, advanced
experience with Microsoft Office.
