character by keeping the integrity and
architecture of its neighborhoods intact.

Creating community through music
On a summer Sunday at the turn of the last
century, you would be making afternoon
visits to your neighbors’ parlors and perhaps
taking in a little music as well.
Sunday Socials, a new music series, gives
you the opportunity to slip back in time and
do just that. We are opening the ‘parlors’ of
some of the finest private and public historic
buildings in Keene for you to enjoy. And we
entertain you as well with music and the
history of the era.
Your sponsors for the series are:
The Heritage Commission
Keene Music Festival & Keene Parks and Rec
Your donation of $10 goes to the restoration
fund for the Sumner Knight Chapel. For details

Virginia Eskin, a Boston and New Hampshire
resident, is an extremely versatile solo
pianist, chamber player and lecturer, known
for both standard classical repertoire and
ragtime, and a long-time champion of the
works of American and European women
composers and music written by composers
who perished during the Holocaust.
Virginia has also gained a reputation as a
ragtime specialist and has found and
recorded neglected works by American
women.
Great music, history and fun!
