Monadnock RSVP Volunteer Center will be hosting training for new volunteers for the
America Reads program. This would be a wonderful way for our branch to show support for
education in the Monadnock Region and as a form of activism with our upcoming discussion
on Robert Putnam’s Our Kids book. Branch members are currently involved in this program.
Anyone willing to give an hour or more a week to read to a child, and to listen to a child read
can be a tutor.
New volunteer training is required for anyone interested in joining the program. Trainings
will be held in Peterborough on Monday, October 5 from 9 AM to 2 PM and in Keene on
Tuesday October 13 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Please call the RSVP office at 357-6893 if you can
