Attention all Winter Sport Athletes: Try-outs begin NOVEMBER 2. You must have a
TICKET-2-PLAY in order to try out. You can pick up your TICKET-2-PLAY in the back
gym lobby at lunch on anyone of the following dates:
OCTOBER 20, 22, 27, 28, and 29.
YOU MUST REGISTER ON THE GOIMPS.COM WEBSITE BEFORE YOU PICK UP
YOUR TICKET-2-PLAY. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!!
October is Disability Awareness Month. In order to raise awareness, there will be a braille
reading contest outside Mrs. Bass' room 2103. The first person to read the braille correctly
and tell Mrs. Bass gets a prize. Don't miss this opportunity to experience a different
language.
Bonjour French Club Members: Our next meeting will take place today in Madame
Atkinson's room (2309) at 4:30. This month's topic will be learning how to make and
eating crepes. New members, don't forget your $6.00 La Farm bakery dues! Merci!
Announcement: If you are a junior or a senior that took or will be taking the SAT in
October, you are eligible to take the redesigned SAT for FREE on Wednesday, December
9th at Cary High. Participating students will receive official SAT scores that can be
reported to colleges and universities. Additionally, each student that participates will
receive a $50 gift card! If you would like to take this FREE SAT on Dec. 9th at Cary High,
please sign up in Student Services no later than October 31st.
Cary High students are invited to NC Central University's Homecoming Day with the
Eagles on Monday, October 26, 2015, 8:30am-1:30pm. Lunch and prizes will be provided.
Please sign up in Student Services.
We are looking for musicians or bands to play the Bonfire Tuesday, November
10th. Please see Mrs. Loughridge in room 2128 or Mr. McCullough in room 2115 if you
are interested.
"There will be a MANDATORY meeting for any girls interested in trying out for girl's
basketball this Friday, October 23rd during "A" lunch in Coach Daly's room
#2208. Topics to be discussed are eligibility, academics, tryouts, and game & practice
schedules. Spread the word..."
To receive ASVAB test results look for QR codes hanging in the hallways or go to the CHS
website, click on the STUDENT and Career Development, sign up will be on the left hand
side. Dates are October 28th and 29th.
The Cary High Fine Arts Department proudly presents its Fall Choral Concert tonight at
7:00 PM in the Auditorium. Please come for an enjoyable evening filled with music
featuring our Women's Ensemble, Concert Chorus, and A Cappella Ensemble. Admission
is $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for students with a family max of $15.
The Junior Class Council will be hosting their annual Fall Bonfire on Tuesday, November
10th at Phillips Farm in Morrisville from 7:30-9:30. The event is open to all CHS students
and admission is $7 at the gate. This event is super fun and includes soda/water, smores,
cornhole, and live music from CHS's most talented students and staff. There is no school
the next day so be sure to join us for some fall fun!
Attention Cary High Students: Are you interested in K-Pop, K-Drama and variety shows,
Hangul, Korean Food and overall Korean culture? If you answered yes to any of these
questions, or if you have become intrigued, the Cary High School Korean Culture club is
here. We will have our first interest meeting today during B SMART Lunch in room
1106. All are welcomed to attend.
Attention Seniors: If you plan to major in textiles at NCSU, please sign up in Student
Services to be considered for a scholarship opportunity. Two CHS students will be selected
to compete for scholarships for the NCSU College of Textiles. Deadline to sign up is this
Friday, October 23rd, at 2pm.
NTHS MEMBERS: There will be a meeting Tuesday, Oct 28 A lunch in room 2112
We will be making plans for meetings, collecting dues from new members, and meeting in
committees. There will be snacks. Please plan to attend.

There will be an international club meeting Tuesday after school in room 2303.
Film Club will meet again today in room 2121 at 2:30pm to finish the Homecoming Parade
banner.
Congratulations to cross country runners Sarah Venable and Matt Thornton....Both
earned all-conference honors yesterday at the SWAC championships
Students and staff, wouldn't you love to see one of your favorite teachers get a pie in their
face? From Friday October 23rd until the day of Homecoming, we will be holding a
fundraiser in the gym lobby. Drop your spare change or loose bills in one of five containers.
Based on the container you place your money in, YOU help choose which teacher will get a
pie in their face at the Homecoming Pep Rally. The staff members you could help pie in the
face are: MRS. PAULK, MR. CHANEY, MRS. HOWE, MR McCULLOUGH, and none
other than MR. BRYANT. All money raised will go to "The Students for South Sudan".
There will be a mandatory Club Thrive meeting tomorrow during A lunch.
