Students can sign up for Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball or Weight Training. After two weeks, Coach Johns will begin to assign captains and create teams for the season. Starting on Thursday no student will be allowed to enter a classroom after the tardy bell rings until they get a Red Pass from the Discipline Office in 1001. All teachers are reminded to lock their doors each period when the tardy bell rings. Today during SMART Lunch all Juniors and Seniors who attended Cary High School last year and who had their picture taken by the school photographer, should report to the Discipline Center to pick up their school I.D. Students with last names starting with A-M should report during A Lunch and students with last names starting with N-Z should report during B Lunch. Students who already have a Lunch Pass DO NOT need a student I.D. New students and students who did not have their pictures taken last year will have the opportunity to get their I.D. cards in September. Until that time students will need to make sure they know their Student I.D. Number. This number will be required to gain access to your class if you are tardy starting on Thursday. Congratulations to the Women's Golf team who defeated Apex and Holly Springs to finish seventh out of nine teams in the SWAC golf match held at Lochmere Golf Club on Tuesday. The top three finishers for Cary were junior Katie Khiev with a 52, and seniors Maxine Green and Emma Johnston both with a 53. The Imps travel to Devil's Ridge next Tuesday for the third SWAC match of the season. Congratulations to the men's soccer teams who swept Garner last night. A strong home crowd help spur the IMPS on to victory. The JV's won 2-1 and the Varsity 4-2. The varsity goal scorers were Logan Griffin, Noah Bagherpour, George Bournazian and Carlos Perez. Logan Griffin also had an assist while Quinn Dunphy led the way with 2 assists. The IMPS take the field again at home on Thursday as they host state runners up Broughton. Kick-off is at 5pm for JV and 7pm for Varsity. Hope to see you there. The first Anime Club meeting is this Friday, August 28th in room 2120, after school 2:30 to 3:50.
