No. NUIG-033-15 Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed term position as a research assistant with Professor Brian McStay at the Centre for Chromosome Biology (CCB) in the School of Natural Sciences, National University of Ireland, Galway. This 5 year position is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is available immediately. Job Description: The successful candidate will join a team that is using, molecular biology, cell biology and bioinformatic approaches to study poorly characterised regions of the human genome. Qualifications: Applicants should have an undergraduate and/or a postgraduate degree in a relevant biological discipline (biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology etc.). The ideal candidate should have experience in cell culture and molecular biology. Candidates should have excellent communication and organizational skills; be highly motivated and passionate about basic research; and have strong documentation, oral and interpersonal skills.
