Prom tickets go on sale beginning Wednesday Morning at 7:20 until 7:45 and begin again at 3:01 until the last ticket is sold in room 112/ the Art room. Plan to purchase your tickets early before the lines get unbelievably long. Under no circumstances will tickets be sold during the school day. Seniors only price is $20 with everyone else's being $30. We only accept CASH. If you are purchasing a ticket for a guest, you MUST have your signed permission slip before I can buy it. So pick them up from the front office. If you have any questions please come and see Mrs Cross in room 112. The Tennis Team blanked Eastern Guilford 9-0 yesterday. Trevor Beeninga, Broco Fox, Keith Martin, and Noah Hazelwood all won their singles matches. In doubles the teams of Martin/Hazelwood and Tyler Minter/Spencer McColl won their matches. Eastern Guilford forfeited singles 5 and 6 as well the number 3 doubles spot. Prom guest request forms are available in the office. Remember that Mr. Weaver’s signature is required on the form. Congratulations to the Cougar Golf Team for their first place finish yesterday in the Mid-State 3A Conference Match played at Stoney Creek. Tripp Summerlin led the Cougars with a score of 33. Other scores were 37 by Jordan Cross, 39 by Alex Flynt and 41 by Jacob Moore. The Cougars are now 5 shots up on McMichael in the race for the conference championship. In huge wins, both the JV and Varsity Softball Teams beat McMichael yesterday. The Varsity Baseball Team dominated McMichael last night, winning 12-1 in 5 innings. Angel Zarate had a great night on the mound pitching 4 innings, giving up only 2 hits and 1 run. Will Stanley pitched the 5th inning and gave up 1 hit and no runs. At the plate the Cougars had 12 hits scoring their 12 runs. Gavin Taylor, Zeb Williams, Zarate, and Nick Stadler led the team at the plate. Caoch Barber stated that "This was a clean a win as you could ask for. The boys played well tonight and we picked up our 6th straight win." Even with extreme effort and team work our soccer teams fell to Northern Guilford. The Varsity Team 0-3 and the JV lost 0-9. The soccer teams play Western Alamance at home Wednesday. It is the final JV home game of the season. The Varsity Team plays at Reidsville Thursday at 6:00. There is a sign-up sheet in the office for the Rockingham County Super Cup 3 on 3 Tournament. Students 16 years old that would like to give blood on May 1st should see Mrs. Harris for a parent permission form. Students older than 16 may sign up in the commons. The last Drivers Ed Class of the year will begin on April 20th. You may sign up in the commons beginning Wednesday the 15th at 7:30 am. You must be 15 years old or older to sign up on Wednesday the 15th and Thursday the 16th.
