* Congratulations to the Varsity Golf Team on their 205 to 242 victory over Tustin
at Alta Vista Country Club. The Tigers were led by overall medalist Derek
Castillo who shot an even par 37 and Brendan King who shot 2 over 39. In
addition John Dauphin, Tim Hyun and Paul Carrasco played well in the 37 shot
victory. The Tigers improve to 5 and 3 overall and 3 and 1 in Empire League
play.
* This is a reminder to all 2015-2016 ASB applicants. You must attend one of the
mandatory meetings during lunch today before you begin campaigning. If you do
not attend a mandatory meeting, your application will not be honored.
* Prom ticket sales will begin on April 16th with a two day special. Tickets will be
$65 with an ASB sticker and $80 without an ASB sticker on the 16 th and 17th of
April. Prices will make a considerable jump after these two days, so it’s time to
get moving. Guest passes are available at the finance window. Start taking care
of them now before you buy your tickets. If you ask someone now, you’ll be
ready to enjoy the discount on the first two days of ticket sales.
* Attention moviegoers! VHS PTSA will be selling discounted movie tickets
Friday, April 3rd, during both lunches. The tickets are $6 and can be used for all
shows at Cinema City. Be sure to stock up before spring break! You can pay
with cash or make checks payable to VHS PTSA.
* If you are a senior that has been given a permission slip by Mrs. Douglas in
counseling, for Santiago Canyon College; please make sure that you complete it
and return to her ASAP as it is first come first serve.
* Students: Please remember there is no eating in the library unless it rains or
has winds of 50 miles per hour. Violators will be given cleanup duty.
* Attention students, summer school information is now available for this
summer. All summer school applications are due to the Counseling Office
by May 1st.
* Prom Project 2015!! Please see Mrs. Douglas in counseling if you are
interested and are a senior girl! You may qualify for a free prom dress!
* Calling all Angel Fans! Come out to Angel Stadium on Friday night May 29th to
watch the Anaheim Angels play the Detroit Tigers. It is also Matt Shoemaker
Bobblehead Night! Tickets are only $20. There are ticket order forms in the front
office. Please come out to support VHS at Angel Stadium.
* Community service opportunities are available with the REACH Foundation for
the month of April. For more information, please see Mr. Louie in the Activities
office.
*TIGER CHALLENGE! It’s not spring break yet! Keep on working this week.
You own your grades, so make them something you’d be proud of.
