The Place of Forsyth County October Newsletter! Dear Friend, At The Place we are already in the thick of Holiday planning - Thanksgiving, Christmas and warm coats - starting to gather food and clothing that will help the community tackle the upcoming season with more comfort and joy. This past month we were blessed to meet two special young men. One is a single Dad raising a 10 year old alone. It was such a blessing to offer our help to him in many ways so that he and his child can get food and clothing along with other things they need. The other is a teen age homeless person that is trying to work and survive. He is younger than my children and I just look in awe at all he has been doing alone. We are excited that these two people are in our lives now and that we have services they need. I have often said that of our 3 gifts - time, talent and treasure - time is the most precious and we receive the most blessing when we can give that to others. If you would like to get involved in our work for the community, please contact me: joni@theplaceofforsyth.org. Karting for The Place!!!
