Business Intelligence Developer The Role The Business Intelligence Developer role involves being responsible for maintaining and improving the data warehouse and ensuring the successful integration of new data sources as well as the deployment of regular reporting by the most efficient means. Working closely with the Data and Insight teams to evolve the BI offering over time. Responsibilities ● ● ● ● ● ● Be responsible for assisting in the end to end maintenance of the Data Warehouse. Assist in the development of the Data Warehouse Collate all disparate data sources Make raw data as easy as possible to report on. Manage the collection of data from a variety of sources including: transactional, web, third party and CRM. Build ad-hoc BI tools and dashboards for various parts of the business to use Requirements ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Have a solid understanding of the fundamental stages within the delivery life cycle of Business Intelligence solutions An understanding of data mining - using SQL to write queries. Have experience in the Extract Transform and Load (ETL) process and be able to develop end to end ETL solutions. Have experience in data cleansing and aggregation. Experience of Data modelling and data architecture design (preferred) Be able to successfully maintain a relational database and the ETL processes. Have an aptitude for programming (for example python and C#) Have some experience in a BI or Data Warehousing type position Be used to working in an agile environment with the ability to pick up and learn how to use new data tools very quickly Strong communication skills are a must to effectively present reports to multiple stakeholders.
